Tyee Aquatic Club boasts Vancouver Island's only dedicated Para Swimming Program, with the goal of providing both competitive and recreational opportunities for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. Training schedules and content are highly customizable, and include a wide range of formats including private in-water coaching, general fitness training, and high-performance programs designed to produce successful athletes on the international stage. Assessments are encouraged and free of charge, so please contact Lead Coach Breah Dunn at para@tyeeaquaticclub.com should you wish to receive more information.
Tyee offers many options depending on the commitment and skill level of your competitive athlete. We recommend an assessment and meeting with the head coach before registering your swimmer.
Tyee's Masters program provides an environment for ex-competitive swimmers, triathletes, or adults who are completely new to the sport to realize that Swimming is for Life! The program offers a schedule of three sessions a week and participants can choose to swim in the morning (6:15-7:30AM) or in the evening (6:00-7:00PM). We also offer punch-cards for those swimmers who are unable to commit to a consistent set of training sessions, and we are able to accommodate almost any level of swimming ability.
All practices are at Crystal Pool.
